North Beach food tour
North Beach Food tour
📍 San Francisco
👀 When there was a foodie tour on our itinerary I was stoked!! The tour we did was a little mix but was mainly the North Beach Food Tour exploring the Italian restaurant scene and former Barbary Coast – known as the most notorious neighborhood in America during the Gold Rush! We visited the Hidden Tunnels where booze was smuggled in up through Prohibition, and got an exclusive peek at the traditional Italian culture. The tour went for 3 hours, we walked for about a mile, had 4 courses and the tour was worth around $99pp. We met our amazing guide In front of the Italian Athletic Club on Stockton Street and walked to our first stop Sotto Mare.
🍴 What we ate:
Sotto Mare: Cioppino
China Live: "Peking Duck" in Sesame Pockets
Barbara Pinseria: San Francisco Pizza, Burrata and Pesto pizza, Pear & Gorgonzola pizza
Lush Gelato: Fresh Mint and Dulce de Leche
✨ It’s such a great way to see the city and enjoy the hidden spots! Learn about the history and enjoy some great food, you can’t try many other places.
