Ferry Building

Ferry Building

📍 San Francisco

👀 The morning at the Ferry Building we went to different vendors to gather brekkie. It is a mecca for farmers and food lovers. It’s a food artisan marketplace bringing together the food traditions of the Bay Area.

💥 This place is pretty huge with not many areas to sit but outside but the view is so nice outside it’s where you want to be.

🍴 ACME bread company: this sourdough has a cult following and they sell mini loaves so it was perfect. The Sour Round Small is made using naturally leavened sourdough. First, the dough is moulded into a ball slightly larger than a softball. Then it is scored on top of the round with a cross or an “X,” just before being baked. Once baked, the crust is golden, covered in little bubbles, and crispy in texture. The loaf has the moist, tangy flavor characteristic or our sourdough breads.

Brown Sugar Kitchen: Beignets $7 these are inspired by New Orlean’s “Cafe du Monde”. I love the shape of them really easy to eat. This was served with strawberry jam which actually worked with the beignets. Not as good as Cafe du mode but pleasant.

Frog Hollow farm: Avocado Toast Sandwich Sliced avocado on Acme green onion slab. $8.75 and Pear & Gorgonzola Toast on Walnut Bread $8.50

Cowgirl Creamery: picked up some triple creme brie to eat with the sourdough. It was SO creamy!

✨ Sadly most of these places have closed but I would go back in a heartbeat!
