Melbourne

Brekkie

I found this spot on instagram, and got excited when it said “Abbortsford” because i thought it was in Sydney, turns out there is an Abbortsford in Melbourne too, so had to wait for our holiday their to visit.

Parking is very easy, they have a carpark to the village. Had to wait 15 for a table but it was worth it! This is where we first saw the takeaway coffee concept out the front of the cafe, genesis!

It’s a huge indoor/outdoor modern cafe, service was okay. Brekkie came out super fast and we were instanly impressed by the presentation. The avocado on toast, such a simple dish but it was presented very deconstructured with so many elements. As i lifted the lid of my pannacotta it steamed for a second, so cool.

  • Smoked Pea & Garden Mint Pannacotta, 63/63 eggs, bacon crumbs, pea shoots, potato popcorn, house cured seared salmon, toast $21

  • ‘Spiced Togarashi Avocado’ with citrus, amami salt, avocado & edamame smash $13.50
