Volunteering at Vanderpump Dogs

We applied to volunteer at Vanderpump Dogs since we were going to visit the store anyway. We are both dog lovers and thought it would be a cool experience. There are a few choices of shifts but we opted for the closing shift from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Luckily because we went out the night before so 4pm was a good start.

As we arrived at the store and reported to Lexie who was the manager on duty that day. We were shown the adoption area, walked through the process and began work! A fellow Aussie volunteer was just finishing his shift so we learnt from him also.

We had a few people come through and see the dogs and I even got one family to sign an adoption application! Mel took a few of the dogs for a walk including her favourite Sydney and I mainly did the cleaning and upkeep of the area. I took a liking to Brian who you could tell had been very abused, I held his hand and told him everything was going to be ok.

At the end of the shift I bought a lot of things home for Minnie. It was so good to volunteer and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
