👀 Invited through Gate 7 travel celebrating their activation at Pier One where they brought Santa Monica Pier to Sydney. The Guest of Honour was Chef Govind Armstrong - also of Top Chef and Iron Chef fame. He is the executive chef of Santa Monica icon The Lobster.

We were greeted with a seafood bbq cooked by Govind himself, good old shrimp on the barbie! Delicious scallops, crab parcels and stuffed zucchini flowers.

💥 I love Pier One and I love Santa Monica so this was a match made in heaven. It was such a beautiful day for a Friday arvo and we took full advantage of the weather and stayed on the Pier before and after the event.

💁🏼‍♀️ Everyone was so happy for a Friday event and the chefs interacted with everyone, we had drinks together, everyone was happy!

🍷 I forgot what we drank pretty sure it was Californian wine.

🍴 Raw Spencer Gulf kingfish with cucumber, wasabi and white soy - such a light, fresh way to start

Beef Tenderloin with mash, king brown mushroom and Warrigal greens

Pan roast Blue Eye Cod with saffron, diamond clams and zucchini - delicious!!

Chocolate dulce de leche, cocoa nibs and buckwheat - My fav dessert at The Gantry amazing!

✨ One of the best travel events ive ever attended! Would love to see it come back one day.
