👀 How i fell in love with Buon Appetit…i drove past it a few times as my sister lives further down the road. When i started hanging around the area more and more, my sister said her friend went and said it was really good, so i thought i would check it out! It was Tim and i’s third date…in May 2021. We had the arancini and the meatball pasta and fell in love with the food and eachother ;)

Parking was hectic at the food truck, you needed to get there right before 5pm to snag a spot.

The food truck was such a fun, outdoor space, it was so special and we created the most beautiful memories there.

💥 It felt like a fairy lit night in Italy and you escaped and didnt realise you were on the side of the road in Denham Court off Campbelltown Rd.

💁🏼‍♀️ The food truck was more than just a place to grab a bite – it's a family legacy come to life. The story starts with Nonna Tina, who immigrated to Australia from Naples in 1971. Back then, finding familiar Italian ingredients was tough, so family meals were a labor of love, prepared together in the kitchen. Nonna had a passion for bringing people together with food, and Sundays were feasts – a chance to gather around the table, eat, drink, and laugh for hours.

This love for food was passed down to Mamma Rosa, who dreamed of opening a restaurant and sharing her family's traditions. Buon Appetit is a continuation of that dream, a place that embodies the warmth and hospitality that defined their family gatherings.

The journey has been wild and i have been ride or die for BA since the beginning. From that date at the food truck where we sat out the front of the shipping container facing the road to going to the launch of their Camden restaurant.

Council did try to ruin the fun when they issued them with a zoning warning. I started a petition to “Save the Magic of Buon Appetit” that got 3900+ signatures. We also recieved national TV exposure today on the Today Show and an article in the Daily Telegraph. 👏

🍷 My fav thing to drink is the Melon Pellegrino, i tried and never looked back! Also the Italian Hot Chocolate i LOVE and the Peppermint Mocha version at Christmas time.

🍴 My favourite pasta? The four cheese gnocchi! But i like everything and i like to indulge in every pasta.

✨ Buon Appetit has become my personality trait and family to me. I love going, i love my friends going and we will miss the magic of the food truck but so excited the restaurant is even closer for us.
