Buddakan made famous from Sex and the City where Carrie and Big’s rehearsal dinner was. We had a very express, rushed dinner because we had tickets to “How to succeed in business without really trying”.

As we were seated we walked past the beautiful Harry Potter style table and sat at a table near the bar. We did give our waiter the heads up that we wish we could stay longer but we were in a rush and didn’t want to miss out on Buddakan!

Oxtail Dumplings $19
sweet soy, green apple, jalapeño

Absolutely delicious, the rich flavour of the oxtail with the dumplings and the soup was heaven, then with the sweetness of the green apple and spiciness of the jalapeño. This was legit the perfect dish.

Tea Smoked Spare Ribs $19
hoisin barbeque, sesame

Yum!! The hoisin and bbq sauce was so rich and the smokiness of the tea was so beautiful. Next time ill have the longest dinner ever.

Peking Duck Salad* $18
poached egg, sherry vinaigrette

This was such a fine fresh salad, the poached egg was so tiny but the duck portions were generous and I really like it!

Crispy Cauliflower Lollipops $16
truffle, sweet rice, cheese

These were a sweet little delight we popped into our mouths to finish the dinner, no time for dessert unfortunately.
