I was invited from Wasa Media to check out Bar Ume, it was already on my list to go check out so i love when this happens - thanks Vanessa! Rita from Bar Ume looked after us, her recommendations were fabulous and you can tell all staff at Bar Ume are passionate about their menu and everything on it!
Hidden in Surry Hills, this is not just a takeaway style burger shop, this is more of a japanese bar style dining, where you can actually sit down and make a night out of it.
Love the decor, the Japanese sliding door, sake displayed on the bar, cherry blossom painted on the wall…it gets you excited to try the wonderful food or drink sake!
What to order;;
Ume Burger 14.6 Beef pattie, Wagyu mince sauce, tomato, onion, mayo & cheese - yasssss! This burger was magical, the japanese mayo MADE this burger so so so good!
Bacon Cheese Burger 14.8 Beef pattie, crispy bacon, onions, american cheese, rice vinegar pickles & UME’s special sauce
Tebasaki Negoya style wings - crunchy goodness, highly recommended!
Hot Chips with umami salt 4.8 - this was recommended by Rita @ Bar Ume and we are so glad she recommended this, the salt is so addictive even more than chicken salt is, a must try!
Renkon Chips 5 with seaweed salt - these taste as good as they look, the Renkon is a the root of a lotus flower, it tasted like a potato!
Ume Summer Spritz umeysui, fresh cucumber, lychee liqueur and soda - super refreshing and delicious!
Strawberry and Vanilla homemade soda 6 - i love homemade sodas, and this was a winner!
