Bae’s Birthday dinner
Saw this advertised all over instagram mostly, that souffle just looked amazing. Epping is close to home, so when we had a special occasion, bae’s birthday. I knew that gorgeous private dining room was where we should dine. It looks like something from the real housewives! Very boutiquey, very luxurious and gorgeous. When i mentioned Epping Club to the bae who grew up around here, he’s like what?? But i reassured him we were in good hands with ex Flying Fish head chef, Nick Whitehouse.
Amber the Restaurant Supervisor made it easy to book the private dining room i wanted, we had a change to the numbers last minute and it was not an issue at all. I also asked for a cheeky change to the group menu and my wish was granted. Kate looked after us for the night and explained everything perfectly, gave great recommendations, joined in on our table convos and taught us all how to pronounce “charcuterie”. Nick the head chef, also came out during the night and invited us to come back and do a chefs table experience. Yes please!!
We did the $55 group menu, such amazing value and delicious food, finished with a bang of a dessert;;
Zucchini Fritos with saffron aioli / charcuterie shared table entree - the olives were the most popular, so much food we didn’t finish it all
Braised beef cheek / spring slaw - this was the most popular with our group, and it did not disappoint, didn’t realise beef cheek was that fatty but it tasted so good, the spring slaw was onion and mushrooms
The Raspberry soufflé - the highlight of the night, recommended to eat it by eating the baked top then sprinkling the crumble inside followed by pouring the cream over the crumble. As good as i thought it was going to be, and would duck up to Epping just for this dessert!
