A good mexican spot in the Shire, one of my favourite. A busy vibe, the restaurant is centred by a massive black skull chandelier. Staff are usually friendly, it’s a real market to table experience. Especially the made to order guacamole done at the table. Mejico is great for a girls night out, or a date. All the meals are designed to share. I have tried most of the menu by now. These are some of my favourites;

• Guacamole; smashed table side - Avocado, serrano chilli, pistachios and plantain chips $14

• Corn Lollipops - Chipolte mayo, queso fresco, paprika, shredded coconut and popcorn $12

• Salmon tacos - Pickled cabbage & chipolte mayo $12

Me and a girlfriend also invented an amazing cocktail there;

• Silk Stocking - Lychee, Pink Grapefruit, chia seeds and a shot of vodka $14
