Blackbear BBQ
π Vineyard
π BBB wasn't just a restaurant; it was an experience. A vibrant soul thrumming with the smoky magic of slow-cooked meats, the twang of live music on weekends, and the friendly sizzle of the butcher shop right next door. Though this beloved haunt has sadly shuttered its doors, its memory still ignites a warm nostalgia in my belly and my heart.
π₯ A rustic haven, wooden tables and a massive smoker out back. This was Black Bear.
π΄ We opted for the Hungry Bear Plate to Share, it was smoke-kissed perfection: tender pork belly that practically dissolved on the tongue, juicy brisket bathed in a sweet and tangy sauce, and jalopeno and cheese hot link. Each bite a testament to the slow and low method. Served with slaw, potato crisps, homemade pickles and bbq sauce. $35 Chicken wings as a side $10 and tater tots seasoned with parmesan and rosemary salt $8
β¨ Black Bear wasn't just about the food. It was about the atmosphere. The butcher shop next door offered a treasure trove of meats, spices, and sauces, it got you inspired to start your own BBQ adventures waiting to be crafted at home.
RIP, Black Bear BBQ. You'll be missed. Locations at Windsor and Wetherill Park.
