Petrus by Gordon Ramsay

Petrus

London

I picked this restaurant as a part of my 30th birthday celebrations around the world. This was Gordon Ramsay’s beautiful restaurant that had one Michelin star.

To start was a complimentary canapé a crisp cannelloni of sweetcorn, safflower and truffle, the brightest start of our Petrus experience. The crisp cannelloni was soooo thin it just flaked in your mouth as you bit into it. It was absolutely delicious.

Next up was a shot of Green gazpacho with goat curd and rye bread on the side. Didn’t realise this qualified as a course as it was so small haha

The prettiest dish of the night was the Heirloom tomato salad, mackerel tartare, smoked crème fraîche, basil, how stunning was this! This tasted as nice as it looked, especially being half a chunk of tomato.

The best tasting dish of the night was the Cornish skate wing, summer vegetables, lemon thyme velouté the other main to choose from was the Chicken and Corn dish. So glad I went with this, skate wing is a fish who knew!!

The Melon sorbet was nice and refreshing.

The highlight of dessert was the Strawberry and balsamic delice, olive oil, mint wow!! I love the addition of the olive oil, it was such a nice sweet dish.

We were invited into the kitchen which was such a highlight of the lunch, service was exceptional and we had the best time.
