A sidewalk cafe in Surry Hills looks like a takeaway shop at first but extending in the back are grafitted walls and many more tables. Service was casual, which isn’t a bad thing.
Peta ordered: Breakfast with the Sakuma’s – miso grilled king salmon, smoked eel croquette, 63C egg, radish petit salad & kewpie mayo $24.50
Miso Salmon is a favourite of mine and this was on point. Melt in your mouth miso goodness. I’m not a massive fan of Eel, but this croquette worked perfectly in this brekkie. As soon as that baked egg bursts it fills your plate with yolk.
Bit on the expensive side. But that wouldn’t stop me from returning just for the miso salmon again. Thanks Devon Cafe - tick done!
