First Birria Taco experience

Heard about this hidden gem from my neighbour. Loco Birria is located next to a carwash on Victoria Rd in a suburb called Melrose Park. The sign is so cool with a white glowing background and coloured writing, it’s a party before you enter!

I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and have curated the perfect order:

3x crispy PORK corn tortillas + cheese, onion, cilantro and Mexican salsa, radish, lime wedges and a cup of consommé

+ cactus pickle

ELOTE CHIPOTLE MAYO, TACO SEASONING

I have tried each flavour of the taco and the pork is far superior. It is so cheesy and the cup of consommé to dip in is perfection. Tacos are meant to be dipped!! The side of cactus pickle is a cool add on to try, authentic from Mexico. Eating the leftover consommé with ramen is a stroke of genius.

The elite/corn is SO good, one to share is good because the corn is big and the chipotle mayo and taco seasoning gives it a tiny kick.

The Melrose Park location is so cool, indoor and outdoor dining. Too bad for El Nina otherwise I would’ve been here all summer. The team here are so warm and friendly and I love visiting them.
