Chef’s Table experience feat. Chef Nick Whitehouse

Xmas dinner catchup with friends
Back again at our favourite local fine dining, Rawsons @ Epping Club. We dined at our favourite private dining table again. The menu was designed perfectly, they took into considerations what we didn’t like also to make sure it was an awesome experience.
Chef Nick Whitehouse presented every dish and added the extra element, sprinkling the ash, pouring the sauce, setting the cheese on fire etc. The interaction was awesome!
Our menu;;
Organic sourdough bread
Chilled pea veloute / mint oil - nice and refreshing to start the meal
Meredith goats cheese ricotta / leek ash / garden bits / tomato gazpacho dressing - This was the pretty dish, with a chinese restaurant style carrot in the middle, love cheese glad this was on our menu
Soft Hens egg / polenta / bacon crumbs / sprouted legumes - This was one of my absolute favourites, the dish was so pretty almost didn’t want to eat it. Incredible detaill, I would love to try make this dish myself, it was absolutely amazing with all the different elements, i loved it!
Venison / parsnip / cocoa / wattle seed coffee - this was the dish of the night.The sauce was made of cocoa and chicken stock! Chicken and chocolate - it just worked!
Zucchini Kilcoy Beef cheek / truffle cauliflower / house condiments - very tender and beautiful, the dry vegetables ontop were not necessary for this amazing piece of beef and sauce yum
The passionfruit soufflé - super super sweet, hard to eat with a full belly, but the crumble with the amazing sauce make it easier to eat, i had the raspberry souffle previously and can’t decide which i like better, would love to somehow do a half passionfruit, half raspberry souffle!
12yr old whilst Emmental cheese / honeycomb gel / Lavosh - this was vacuum sealed for 2 months and tasted incredible, i don’t enjoy a shot of whiskey but together with the cheese was so nice! And that honeycomb gel - the most perfect cheese and cracker combo
