Winter comfort food in a Canadian cabin in Newtown
Salmon & Bear
Newtown, Sydney
Dinner with the BFF
Before i moved our of home i went to Salmon and Bear in Zetland on a weekly basis, i missed it and Newtown is now closer to me. About a 10 minute walk from Newtown station. It’s the same order at the bar concept as Zetland.
Sit down and relax in a Canadian style lodge restaurant in the middle of busy Newtown. They put a lot of thought and care into the restaurant design. Every piece of artwork relates to the theme of the restaurant. It’s so inviting especially on cold winter nights. Love the rustic decor.
Service is super friendly, was going to be hard to keep up with the amazing service of the Zetland branch. Food was ready extremely fast. I usually go for the special of the day if there is one. Like the Seafood Chowder or Salmon pie for a winter warmer approximately $16.
